Straddie Arts Trail 2024

The Straddie Arts Trail is a community driven project designed to showcase artists and makers working on or inspired by Straddie. The trail will be held from 30 August - 1 September across our island communities, and feature open studios, pop-up retail and gallery spaces, workshops and events designed to showcase our inspirational island and its creatives, as well as support community businesses.
Quandamooka Festival 2024

Following its iteration at 2023’s Wynnum Fringe, the much-loved Quandamooka Music & Cultural Festival returns to Minjerribah this August 30 to 31 for its first full-scale event since 2022. Co-headlining the Friday night music programme will be Meanjin favourite Jem Cassar-Daley, alongside acclaimed artists Uncle Joe Geia and Quandamooka musician Sachem.
Supply Nations Connect 2024

Country to Couture 2024

Country to Couture is where First Nations textiles, fashion and art collide in a colourful showcase of creativity from across Australia. A celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander textiles and fashion design, Country to Couture is a contemporary way of cultural storytelling, and sharing knowledge. The event builds on the growing textile design movement in remote Indigenous communities, and has been presented alongside the annual Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair (DAAF) since 2016.

National Indigenous Art Fair 2024

The National Indigenous Art Fair will return to Gadigal Land at The Rocks, Sydney in 2024 to showcase creations from First Nations artists, designers and makers for its fifth annual art market. From Saturday 29 to Sunday 30 June the Overseas Passenger Terminal will be bursting with art, performances, panel discussions, bushfood and a communal weaving circle.
Parrtjima – A Festival in Light 2024

Join us under the Red Centre’s starry skies and watch the desert come alive with a celebration and exploration of art and culture on Arrernte Country. Our very own Kelly Dixon and her work will be highlighted throughout the Grounded installation at the festival. Kelly tells the story of Wilkinkarra (Lake Mackay), the country and Tjukurrpa of her aunt, and the large bushfire that travelled west, turning the land into a lake, a site of secret men’s Dreaming.
